The last stop on our northern leg was a relief for all of us. These rag-tag human settlements carry with them a spirit of hopeless resignation that weighs down the soul. I much prefer the clean slaughter of innocents to these pitiful mercy killings - unfortunately our investigation of the North has yielded little else.
